What Happened To The People Pictured In The World’s Most Iconic Photographs?

James Blake Miller, 2004

James Blake Miller served in the American Army, in a Battalion which fought in the Second Battle of Fallujah in November 2004. Luis Sinco, a professional photographer for the Los Angeles Times, captured Miller during one of his breaks, as he smokes a cigarette, revealing how exhausted and frightened he is. The photograph earned a Pulitzer award nomination and when people learned who the soldier was, they sent him numerous gifts, along with many cigarettes. He was even sent special gifts from George W. Bush himself, and now Miller is back at home, safe and sound. In fact, he was offered a trip back home, but he stood his ground, proving he is one brave man.
