The Top Earning Female Celebrities In 2018 May Shock You
In the world full of fame and glam, it is no doubt that some of the most sought-after celebrities would gain attention for having the most money in their banks. From movie projects and endorsements to their own businesses, being a celebrity does have its own perks. Some people want to be famous since that would mean they will have access to lots of money, but some of the richest women in Hollywood is not rich just because of what they do in the entertainment industry.
Known as the youngest self-made billionaire in the world, Kylie Jenner has definitely made a massive empire on her own after she turned an insecurity controversy to this business that changed her life. The youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister was just a child when her life started to be broadcast for the world to see. She admitted in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she has her lips augmented because she has always been insecure about it. Instead of letting the controversy get to her, she decided to create her own cosmetics line that made her a billionaire.
Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen
Former child actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen went from being the most famous movie star twins to successful fashion designers. They launched their very own fashion label known as The Row, which received an award as the Womenswear Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The famous Olsen twins now have a net worth of $400 million.
This year’s highest-paid actress is none other than Scarlett Johansson. Tinseltown found its new queen when Johansson got $40.5 million by playing Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers movies. According to the Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, they paid so much for the actors more than the visual effects but it is definitely worth it since the actors are the best effects the films will have. Feige refused to answer when he was asked if Black Widow will have her own solo movie just like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, and more.
Another actress turned entrepreneur is Jessica Alba, who is the owner of a billion dollar company. Alba is known for her movies such as Honey, Fantastic Four, and more. However, she is not exactly as active in the industry as she was before because she shifted her attention to another industry.
Alba is one of the founders of The Honest Company, which produces baby products as well as other personal and household products. They are currently serving North America but it was reported that they are planning to launch a beauty line in Western Europe next year. Alba founded the company almost ten years ago and was inspired to create products that are non-toxic, effective and most of all affordable.
Kim Kardashian West
Last but too far from being the list is none other than Kim Kardashian West herself. Known as the social media queen, she has been earning millions just by posting videos and pictures or herself and her family on her social media platforms like Snapshot, Instagram, and Twitter. The new mom of three is now worth $350 million, just a couple of hundred million away from her youngest sister Kylie. KKW Beauty, which is her official cosmetics line is still doing great in the market after being around for less than two years.
Last year at the Forbes Women’s Summit, she admitted that for more than 10 years of having her glam up every single day, she really put in some knowledge into it and followed Kylie’s empire but making her own. She sold 300,000 contour kits after it has been released for less than two hours last year. Also, being on air with the family’s reality show for more than a decade would make anyone rich.
