George Takei – Lt. Hikaru Sulu – The Original Series

Although George Takei was not even close to famous before joining the cast of Star Trek’s Original Series, he proved to be a big investment for the show, becoming a fan favorite and skyrocketing the show’s ratings. After his massive success as Lt. Hikaru Sulu, Takei mostly engaged in political and social activism. He has been openly gay for many years, and he has been awarded by the LGBT community for his activist work. However, in 2017, Scott R.Brunton accused him of harassment. Takei denied everything on his Social Media accounts, stating that this was totally against his views.
