Elizabeth Mcgovern – Still Active On The Big Screen

The American television and theater actress Elizabeth McGovern has been present on the big screen since 1979. She is best known for her portrayal of Lady Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham in the popular British drama series Downton Abbey. For this role, she has been nominated for a Golden Globe and Emmy Award. The actress also appeared in numerous other projects like Ordinary People, The Wings of the Dove, The Handmaid’s Tale and Once Upon a Time in America. The actress refused to hire a prenup lawyer before marrying Simon Curtis back in 1992.
