80’s Fitness Stars – Where Are They Now & Just How Fit Are They Today?

Everyone loves turning to YouTube these days to discover some different workouts they can do right in the convenience of their homes. Back in the 1980s, it was a totally different story since the Internet wasn’t as modernized yet. People turned to workout videos or fitness shows if they wanted to get tips on how to up their health and get a toned body. The instructors who appeared in such shows and videos gained so much popularity and they later were dubbed “fitness celebrities.” Here are some of the most famous fitness icons from the 1980s and let’s see how they look like these days.

Jake Steinfeld

Jake Steinfeld is known for being the man behind Body By Jake. He was the guy who helped a lot of people get in shape through networks like FitTV and Exercise TV. He also created his very own weight loss program called FitOrbit. Steinfeld is already in his 50s today but it’s very clear that he has been able to take care of his health and fitness through the years. He is also known for being the uncle of actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld.

Heather Locklear

Actress Heather Locklear was a very in-demand name in the Hollywood industry during the ’80s and the ’90s who is most remembered for the roles she had in shows like Dynasty, Melrose Place, and Spin City. Locklear had her own workout video back then called Your Personal Workout. These days, it seems like Locklear needs to focus on improving her overall lifestyle because she is reportedly struggling with her mental health and some vices.

Olivia Newton-John

Most of you remember Olivia Newton-John for the starring role she had in Grease. Aside from acting, she is also a successful singer and you might remember her song Let’s Get Physical. The song was a huge hit and this actually turned her into a 1980s fitness icon. Newton-John always stayed in the industry through the years but she has been having a constant battle with breast cancer. We hope she’s on her way to a full recovery!
