Golden Age Celebrities You Thought Are Long Gone But They Are Still As Alive & Kicking As In Their Golden Years

Bobbie Gentry – 77, $100 Million

Singer Bobbie Gentry takes pride in being one of the first few women in the music industry who were able to release material that they composed and produced themselves. Her breakthrough came in 1967 when she released her song titled Ode to Billie Joe. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a month.

Fancy was probably her most successful album because it got her nominated for a Grammy award. Gentry is now enjoying her retirement, but she did release a new compilation album titled The Girl from Chickasaw County: The Complete Capitol Masters back in 2018.
