Golden Age Celebrities You Thought Are Long Gone But They Are Still As Alive & Kicking As In Their Golden Years

In both the film and music industries, it’s never easy knowing where all our favorite stars are at all times. Old films or evergreen songs often give a familiar ring to us but big stars of the times past still might need a picture attached to their name for us to remember. With that in mind, we love talking about celebs’ whereabouts but there are always some we miss out on.

And with old age, they are often thought to be dead, whereas, in reality, they’re just enjoying their retirement, which – more often than not – doesn’t include red carpet appearances. Hollywood is easy to remember but quick to forget so we now decided to pull a list of our favorite senior celebs who still enjoy life at its best, even though we forgot they’re even alive. You just might be surprised…

Ali MacGraw – 80, $6Million

When Goodbye, Columbus came out in 1969, all eyes were on the newcomer Ali MacGraw. She had effectively captivated audiences with her uniquely sultry look and amazing acting skills, which also earned her a Golden Globe award. Then came the film Love Story. Suddenly, MacGraw was a global superstar, winning a Golden Globe again and this time also an Oscar nomination. Although we’re not sure if she has done any retirement planning, she does seem to have stopped acting considering her last appearance was in the late ’90s.

Tony Bennett – 93, $200 Million

Tony Bennett is an American singer and his incredible voice interpretations have brought him an army of fans across the globe. He enjoys jazz and traditional pop music, rising to prominence during the ’50s with his many skills and on-stage performances. Even today, his concerts are always sold-out and new generations love him, as the famous singer has been awarded multiple times for his contribution to the music industry and he is an inspiration to many new musicians. His music, many songs, and albums are the biggest inheritance he could give his fans and he’d always be remembered for that. If having $200 million-worth of fortune is not enough of a testament to his achievements, then we don’t know what is.

Brigitte Bardot – 85, $65 Million

Sophia Loren’s biggest ‘rival’ back in the day, Brigitte Bardot, left everybody with their mouth open whenever they saw her. She and Loren even have the same age. Though Bardot wanted to become a ballerina when she was young, she quickly turned to act to become even bigger a star.

It proved to be a wise decision, and Bardot starred in more than 40 movies, while also releasing songs and running down catwalks across the world. She’s still considered one of the biggest female role models we have ever witnessed, and one of the richest actually, with her $65-million fortune. Since she embraced retirement planning since 1973, Bardot is now focused on animal rights activism.
