Saoirse Ronan’s father worked in construction before moving his family to New York, where he trained as an actor. When she was three years old, her family relocated back to Dublin after going through hardships in New York. Appearing in The Clinic in 2003 and Proof the following year launched her acting career.
Ronan, who landed the role of Briony Tallis in Atonement at the age of 12, has also shared the screen with Catherine Zeta-Jones in Death Defying Acts. The Grand Budapest Hotel further heightened her fame, and she is slated for upcoming features in See How They Run and Foe.
