Before venturing into acting under Ivana Chubbuck’s tutelage, Eva Mendes studied marketing. A talent manager came across her picture, and that’s how she landed her first screen role in Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror. Training Day saw her share the screen with Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington. The 2001 crime thriller earned Mendes greater recognition and more starring roles.
Her other endeavors include modeling and running the fashion label Eva by Eva Mendes. She hasn’t taken up any recent acting roles but has made appearances on Entertainment Tonight between 2007 and 2020.
