Real Reason Behind George Clooney’s SHOCKING Retirement from Hollywood
When you received a billion dollars in one check, what do you do with all that money? George Clooney had never seen more zeros in his life when he received a fat check for selling off her whiskey company. The first thing he did after receiving a billion dollars was to say goodbye to Hollywood and celebrate retirement as one of the wealthiest men alive. Clooney was one of the most sought-after actors in the film industry up until 2018 when one business decision changed his life forever. Now, Clooney is so wealthy that he abandoned acting altogether last year but is still listed by Forbes as the highest paid actor.
Clooney revealed that running around movie sets is not his priority after selling his tequila company. The actor co-founded Casamigos with Rande Gerber and another businessman in 2011 as a private liquor company just for himself and his friends, but Diageo bought the company for $1 billion last year. Clooney is also a family man who has twins, Ella and Alexander, with wife, Amal Clooney.
Clooney might be a billionaire after his successful business deal with Diego, but he wasn’t always this rich. The actor admittedly struggled financially when he first started out in Hollywood. There was a time when he couldn’t even pay his rent and thought about living in his car. But money woes are now behind him. Clooney is so rich today that he gives a significant chunk of his wealth to a charity foundation that helps people in troubled places around the world.
The foundation recently gave $1 million toward war-ridden countries in Africa. Clooney and his wife are heavy financial givers on a global scale and have no business to join politics.
