These Celebrities Earn Billions a Year By Having Their Own Businesses

It is a well-known fact that celebrities earn tons of money especially if they become a part of massive film production or release a song or an album that will top the charts.

However, being a celebrity is not the kind of career wherein you’ll get tons of benefits once you retire, it is also not that kind of career wherein you can simply jump back and forth to different jobs since once you’re out of the limelight and no one cares about what you do anymore, then no one would bother hiring you. This is one of the major reasons why there are now a lot of celebrities who are attempting to make their way into the business industry.

The fact that already made their names known to the public makes it easier for them to attract customers. Here are some of the most successful ventures celebrities had out of the spotlight.

Being a woman of color, Rihanna found it difficult to find the perfect shade for her, so she created her own makeup line.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna

With over millions of singles sold, you wouldn’t think that Rihanna will try to get into the beauty industry to try to make it big. Well, based on the growing sales and positive reviews from her fans and beauty experts, the singer’s cosmetics line is definitely something they can trust.

For those who don’t know, Fenty is actually Rihanna’s surname, and she trademarked it back in 2014. This is when the speculations of her creating her own company started, and it was officially announced back in 2017.

She launched Fenty Beauty during the New York Fashion week while she was in collaboration with Puma. Some fashion bloggers even considered it as Rihanna’s New York Fashion Week. Her products are now available at all Sephora stores and it is also available online via their official website as well as the official Sephora website and app. Her products, most especially her foundations and concealer went viral after Fenty Beauty released 40-50 shades.

In an interview, Rihanna revealed that one of the main reasons why she provided that many shades in her own cosmetic brand is because of how many women of color struggle to find the perfect shade for them. With the success of Fenty Beauty, it was even considered as one of the best invention in 2017 according to Time magazine.

Honest Company by Jessica Alba

Known for having one of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood, no one saw it coming when Jessica Alba would take a break from the spotlight by focusing on a business venture that turned into a billion dollar company after she got inspired by her own family.

The Honest Company was founded in 2011, and they provide a line of baby products that are non-toxic and at the same time affordable for families to use. Aside from baby products, Alba also launched a line of makeup and skin care products under Honest Beauty, which are all available in Ulta, Target, and even Sephora.

Casamigos Tequila by George Clooney

Acting is not the only thing George Clooney is passionate about, he also loved tequila, but it is in a good way that made him earn millions of dollars instead of being addicted to it. He co-founded Casamigos Tequila together with Cindy Crawford’s husband Randy Gerber back in 2013. The idea was reportedly built when Clooney and Gerber were waiting for their vacation homes in Mexico to the finished at that time, which happens to be next to each other.

They have sampled different kidney of tequila for months until one day, Clooney suggested that it’s probably ideal to just have their very own tequila. The Casamigos was purchased in 2017 by the famous British alcoholic beverage company Diageo, for $700 million.

The decision to make their own tequila was when Clooney and Gerber couldn’t find the perfect tequila for their taste.

Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner

Last but definitely not the least is Forbes magazine’s youngest self-made billionaire in history. Reality star Kylie Jenner from the famous and controversial family show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, made an empire before she even became legal enough to drink. Her cosmetic line is now valued over $900 million.

Jenner started everything when she got inspired to turn her lip filler controversy into a business. 4 years later, it is still considered to be one of the most in-demand makeup brand in the world today. Despite a lot of controversies with its quality and overpricing, the reality star turned businesswoman still manages to produce trending makeup products that makes her earn more money.
