Dynasty – Sad-ending Story

Rock Hudson was one of the most notable names in the film industry during the ’50s and the ‘60s, appearing in many movies before switching to the television series in the ‘70s. Among the many roles in his portfolio, the famous actor made an appearance in the mega-popular soap opera Dynasty, which aired from 1981 to 1989. At the time, Hudson reportedly knew he had contracted the HIV virus but kept it a secret as little was known about the disease at the time. In 1985, Rock Hudson died of HIV-related complications becoming one of the first celebrities to die from the virus.

Knots Landing – Money Problems

Constance McCashin started her acting career during the ‘80s, appearing in movies and TV shows but she’s most recognized for her role as Laura Avery Sumner in the soap opera, Knots Landing. Although she showed remarkable performance, producers had to, unfortunately, let her go due to the business finance crisis that they were going through. Her character was killed, but not before the cast members decided to write the funeral scene themselves as a tribute to their colleague. Years later, McCashin stated she was hurt with the way they decided to get rid of her. Today, the former actress earns money as a  therapist and social worker. She lives in Massachusetts and is a proud parent of two children.
