As a 5-year-old child, a truck left her unconscious for many days with a fractured skull hit. She was 12 when she met her late husband, René Angélil. Angélil signed her to his record label with a condition that her parents should let him manage her career. He mortgaged his home to support Dion build her career and it paid off big time.
